Visa Information for Travel to Hainan, China (for ICMMES 2026)

Travelers from the following 59 countries can come to Hainan for travel and business purposes visa‑free for 30 days, provided that they hold a passport valid for at least 6 months and enter via the three airports in Hainan: Haikou Meilan (HAK), Sanya Phoenix (SYX), Qionghai Boao (BAR).

• Europe (40): Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, Russia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Belarus, Norway
• Americas (6): United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile
• Oceania (2): Australia, New Zealand
• Asia (11): South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kazakhstan

Important Notes

• This is for entry to Hainan province (which is an island), and can differ from the policy for mainland China.
• Visa exemption does not grant indefinite stay or residence.
• Stays exceeding 30 days require registration with local authorities in accordance with regulations.
• Policies are subject to updates by the National Immigration Administration and Hainan authorities.
