Travel, Visa and Accommodation（交通、签证与住宿）

To visit Hainan Province, China, for 30 days or less, the citizens from the following 59 countries do NOT require a visa:

  • Europe (44 countries): Rusia, UK, France, Germany, Norway, Ukrane, Italy, Autria, Finland, the Netherland, Damark, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, Czech, Astonia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latovia, Lithovania, Luxenburg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovania, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Sellvia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Mountain Negro, North Macedonia, Albania, Moroko, Belorus.
  • Ameria (6 countries): USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Agintina, Chili.
  • Eurasia (2 countries): Australia, New Zealand .
  • Asia (11 countries): South Kroa, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Philipine, Indonisia, Brunei, UAE, Qatar. 

Visitors from above countries must have vilid regular passport (not official or diplomatic ones) and enter from the following 3 ports:

  1. Haikou Meilan International Airport (code HAK);
  2. Sanya Phoenix International Airport (code SYX);
  3. Qionghai Bo'Ao International Airport (code BAR).

ICMMES-2026 will be held in Haikou City, thus most participants are expected to arrive in Meilan Airport. 

The conference hotel is International Academic Exchange Center Hainan University (海南大学国际学术交流中心) at Meilan district 58 Renmin Road (海口市美兰区人民大道58号)。 Transport from Mailan Airport to the Conference Hotel:

  • From Mailan International Airport by texi from T1/T2 terminals
    • estimated distance is about 30km, the fare is about ￥70RMB ($10USD).
  1. Option a) Taxi: estimated time45min and cost ￥70-￥100 RMB。
  2. Option b) Subway：estimated time 1h, line 2-line 8, cost: ￥8 RMB。
  • From Hankou Railway Station
    • estimated distance: 20km
  1. Option a) Taxi: estimated time 35min, cost ￥35-40 RMB
  2. Option b) Subway: estimated time 59min, line 2- line 8, cost: ￥5 RMB。
  • From Wuchang Railway Station
    • estimated distance: 9km
  1. Option a) Taxi: estimated time 24min, cost ￥20 RMB
  2. Option b) Subway: estimated time 32min, line 4- line 8, cost: ￥4 RMB。

Chinese local time is 8 hour ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+8).

The legal tender in China is RMB (Ren-Ming-Bi). The official abbreviation of the RMB is ￥.

Currency conversion is possible at airports and banks. International credit cards are accepted in most important and significant places.

The electrical power supply in China is 220 Volts and 50 Hz. Please check your notebooks/mobile phones power supply if it supports the local power supply system (most power supplies accept 100 to 240 Volt and 50 to 60 Hertz)
