Dear Colleagues,

It is very likely that we will receive a funding to support the researchers in the US to participate ICMMES-2010 to be held in Edmonton, Canada, July 12-16, 2010.  The funding, if we receive it, would allow us to provide travel support to a very limited number of people with an amount perhaps no more than USD$1,500 per person on average.  We stress that only those currently in the US institutes are qualified to receive the ICMMES travel support.

The ICMMES travel support is designed to assist graduate students, post doctoral researchers, and junior faculty members in the US institute to actively participate ICMMES Conferences. The travel support can be used to cover registration fees, airfare, and lodging. The priority consideration will be given to those who will contribute presentations during ICMMES-2010 and papers to the ICMMES-2010 proceedings. Special attention will be given to under-represented minorities, women, and persons with disabilities. We strongly encourage applicants for ICMMES travel support to register for the short courses offered at ICMMES-2010.

The application process for the ICMMES travel support is the following:

  1. Register for ICMMES-2010 and short courses online through Conftool: https://www.conftool.com/icmmes2010/
  2. Send an application letter briefly describing your work related to ICMMES's focused topics, indicating if you will contribute a presentation and intend to contribute a paper to ICMMES proceedings, and a brief CV including your publications. Please send application letter and your CV, with a subject line "travel support", to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 3. If you are a graduate student or a post-doctoral researcher, you are required to register for the ICMMES short courses in order to qualify for the ICMMES travel support, and a recommendation letter from your direct supervisor is also required.

The deadline for the application is Monday, June 7th, 2010. Applicants will be informed of our decisions by Monday, June 14th, 2010.
